The trial of Seon Singh for the 2012 murder of his common-law wife, Indranie Sugrim, is set to commence on April 23rd before Justice James Bovell-Drakes and a 12-member jury at the High Court in Georgetown.
At his arraignment, Singh pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stated that on November 25th, he murdered Sugrim, called ‘Indra,’ at their Lot 502 Ninth Field, Cummings Lodge, Block ‘Y’ home.
Sugrim was 40 years old at the time of her death.
Representing the accused will be attorney Maxwell McKay.
The state’s case, meanwhile, will be led by prosecutor Tiffini Lyken.
