The Guyana Foundation Sunrise Centre, Essequibo, in keeping with its mission to uplift the lives of those less fortunate has announced that it is holding training sessions simultaneously in three locations.
According to a Guyana Foundation press release, this is the first time that the foundation has attempted such a venture. The areas targeted are the village of Mashabo on the Ituribisi Lake, the island of Wakenaam and the village of Zorg-en-Vlygt on the Essequibo Coast.
The Guyana Foundation says that poverty is still real in many communities around Guyana and over the years, it has been offering extensive training programmes in a variety of disciplines all free of charge. These courses are designed to give those persons who are struggling, a chance to learn how to generate income.
