United States Ambassador to Guyana, Sarah-Ann Lynch, on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Georgetown, Ubraj Narine.
The main purpose of the visit was to explore areas of collaboration between the US and the Georgetown City Council. The possible areas of collaboration discussed included the need for capacity building for employees of the City Engineer’s and City Treasurer Departments.
The Ambassador noted that this was just an initial visit and further stated that the needs of the Council would be examined to determine how they fit into the context of the overarching goal of the Ambassador’s programmes.
