Magistrate Singh remanded the woman and ordered that she be taken to the National Psychiatric Hospital for an evaluation.
Jameer, a mother of two, claimed in court yesterday that while in custody she was assaulted and forced to confess to the murder. While naming specific ranks who she accused of assaulting her, the woman said, she was taken back to the crime scene and asked to pose with the murder weapon which was always on the cupboard.
She also accused ranks of stealing gold jewellery from her and claimed that the ranks told her that they would be dividing the money lodged between themselves.
Jameer will return to court on April 24.
On Wednesday Magistrate Singh was unable to read the murder charge to Jameer when she appeared in court as she fainted and cried uncontrollably.
