Three companies on Tuesday submitted bids for the supply, delivery and sorting of Mathematics Tool Kits at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, with the largest of the bids coming from The Hardware Depot, at a sum of nearly $58M.
In December 2016, the Education Ministry had embarked on an Emergency Math Intervention Programme, intended to improve the results of students sitting the Grade Six exam.
It had decided on a number of interventions for improved Mathematics performance, including the use of Mathematics toolkits and workbooks, which are intended to make the subject more interactive, the Department of Public Information had reported.
