“I feel like a proud father of successful children,” were some of the words mentioned by President of the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG), Aubrey Hutson following the record medal by the athletes at the just concluded CARIFTA Games.

“Our athletes continue to bring us glory once they are given the opportunity. I feel like a proud father of successful children,” Hutson told Stabroek Sport.

He added: “Our vision for athletics is slowly but surely growing”.

During the annual Games staged in the Cayman Islands, the 21-member contingent climbed the podium steps on 10 occasions, earning four gold medals, two silver and four bronze.
