Security guard feared drowned after going for bath in Demerara River

A 58-year-old man is feared drowned in the Demerara River after going to take a bath on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the police, Mohammed Al Rasheed, also known as Fat Head, a security guard of #11 Village, West Coast Berbice, was working at the Omai Wharf in Linden when he allegedly drowned.

The police explained that enquiries disclosed that Rasheed was employed by 45-year-old Dindial Sookram, a contractor of Plot B D’Edward, West Coast Berbice and was tasked with looking over heavy-duty machinery.
