Kenkassie Lynch, who is one of the men accused of murdering Mocha mechanic Terrence Lanferman, was yesterday found guilty of the crime and is awaiting sentencing.
Lynch learnt his fate in the courtroom of Justice Navindra Singh, where a unanimous guilty verdict was handed down by a 12-member jury, following about two hours of deliberation.
While Lynch is being represented by defence attorney Adrian Thompson, the state’s case was led by Prosecutor Abigail Gibbs, in association with Tuanna Hardy and Teriq Mohammed.
Attorney Thompson, after hearing the verdict, requested a probation report for his client, which was granted by the judge.
The matter was then adjourned until May 30, when the probation report is to be read and the sentence handed down.
It is alleged that Lynch, on June 1, 2015, murdered Lanferman, 23, at Lot 37 Nelson Street, Mocha, East Bank Demerara.
