The accused, who was represented by attorney Mark Waldron in association with Nigel Hughes, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offence. Police prosecutor Gordon Mansfield, told the court that the post-mortem report is outstanding, along with a further statement. He also added that a second suspect,
James Fraser, was also charged for the very crime. The accused was later remanded to prison and the matter was adjourned until May 21.
Fraser, called “Damo,” was charged on May 8 for the crime. He too, is expected to return to court on May 21.
Rodney succumbed to injuries while receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was a patient in the Intensive Care Unit.
Rodney was reportedly shot four times in his left leg and never regained consciousness after he underwent surgery.
