As Guyana prepares for the COCACAF Gold Cup next month, the team will be afforded a new kit by Capelli Sport.
A concept of the kit was revealed FIFA’s Development Conference at the Marriott Hotel, Kingston yesterday where President of the Guyana Football Federation, Wayne Forde predicted a long-lasting and fruitful collaboration.
“We are working through just the bits and pieces with the final agreement with Capelli Sport, with no doubt there is a commitment on both parts for an agreement which we will announce once the dotted lines are signed off,” Forde said.
The GFF boss said that it was his belief that an agreement was not far off.
“We have been able to establish a remarkable working relationship with Capelli Sport,” he said, adding…“the fact that there are here displaying their products, interacting with the other brands and local football fraternity is a demonstration of their commitment to the GFF.”
Forde said that he was confident that a pronouncement on the contract can be made as early as next week to which the details will be released.
“At the heart of the discussion in where we are as a federation and where we need to grow from the grassroots level all the way up to the senior level so we are very pleased so far with the engagement with Capelli Sport and I am hoping we will make a final announcement on the deal in one week’s time and at that occasion we will indicate some of the key parts of that agreement,” Forde said.
