Guyanese artiste and band member of Feed the Flames, Josie Mitchell will be the face of the band in new spin-off side project called Josie and The Flames set to debut in a live performance tonight at MovieTowne.
The band is excited about this new venture, being touted as dynamic rollercoaster of a musical journey. The project is said to be refreshing and original and is expected to take Guyana by storm.
Josie, a Lindener, is known for her angelic voice which combined with the band’s gritty rock n’ roll, should prove to be quite a treat.
The singer has been known for capturing the audience with her mesmerizing voice since she was seven years old when she first sang at Watooka Day Primary School. One of the competitors on the GTT + Star Singing Competition, Josie was is the first to receive a ‘WOW’.
To date the singer has had gigs and concerts around Guyana and also outside of the country, including in Trinidad, Suriname and the United States. The biggest concert she has ever performed at was the Skyy Rock Festival.
Josie and The Flames are also scheduled to perform on Thursday at Hard Rock Café from 8 pm. Tonight’s show commences at 7.30.
