After being sentenced in absentia last year to three years in prison for armed robbery, a mason was yesterday brought to a city court on an arrest warrant, and will begin to serve his time.
Twenty-eight-year-old mason Dellon McLean, was brought before Magistrate Faith McGusty, who had tried his matter last year and found him guilty.
The charge against him stated that on September 5, 2017, at North Road, Bourda, while in the company of another and armed with a gun, he robbed Sharetta Ann Boyce of a gold band valued at $120,000, and a $48,000 gold pendant.
A party of policemen yesterday escorted McLean into the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court compound, and into the courtroom of Magistrate McGusty, who had issued an arrest warrant for him.
He was later transferred to one of the prison facilities.
