H&T Theatre Arts Group will put on its annual production ‘Dedication To Daddy’ at the National Cultural Centre tomorrow night. This third edition of the show, themed ‘Suspicious Minds’, caters for fathers and families and will treat attendees to high quality song, dance and drama.
Director and Producer of the event Sheron Cadogan-Taylor said she is pleased to be hosting the third edition of this musical drama, as she aims to celebrate exemplary fathers, while encouraging others to “stand up”.
There will be vocal renditions from some of Guyana’s renowned artistes and actors including Delisha Wright, Colin Ambrose, Cleveland Hutson, Barbara Lee, Simone Dowding, Ezzie Crandon, Ronald Green, Allan C Bakker and Donald Wallerson. Henry Rodney will perform one of his own calypso compositions. Sandia Ramnarine will treat the audience to a dance performance and there will also be ballroom dance by the Millennium Star Dance Group.
Making the evening even more spectacular will be the performances by talented dramatists Kevin Smith, Melika Edmonds, Keisha Sam, Nelan Benjamin, Shivina Demendonca, La Vonne George, Ryan Headley, Leslyn Johnson, Kester Whyte, and Nalini Nareswarie.
Four fathers will be in for a surprise as they will be honoured at this year’s event. They are fathers who were recommended by their families and persons of within their communities as exemplary fathers.
Tickets costs $2,000 and $1500 and are available at the National Cultural Centre or from any member of the cast. A complimentary glass of wine awaits all fathers. There will also be door prizes and giveaways.
