Dear Editor,
In the 19th June edition, in an interview by a Stabroek News reporter, Justice Patterson on being asked if he would resign in light of the court ruling that his appointment was unconstitutional replied “I haven’t thought of that” and added “I haven’t digested the case; I just have an extract” and “I don’t have time to think of these personal concerns”.
Is he ‘living in a bubble’? The appeal against his appointment was heard by CCJ on 12th May.
And since then he has not had time to think of how he would act if the judgment went against his appointment? Is this the quality we have to be the Chair of one of the most important offices in the land?
Yours faithfully,
Peter Allan
