Guyana is among the three Caribbean countries that will host a grand revival crusade led by Dr Daniel Olukoya of Nigeria, founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries worldwide.
The event is billed for the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall tomorrow and Monday under the theme ‘Provoking Divine Intervention’ and consists of three sessions. Two of the sessions commence at 5.30 pm on both days and the third is a Pastors and Leaders Conference on Monday from 9 am. Registration opens at 8.30 am.
Olukoya is a renowned pastor and the author of Prayer Rain and Command the Morning, along with more than 40 others. He will be accompanied by 45 pastors and ministers from the African country, as well as a host of pastors from the US and a renowned gospel opera singer from France.
Olukoya was born in the Ondo State, Nigeria to a police officer father and trader mother. After attending St Jude’s Primary School and the Methodist Boys’ High School in Lagos he went on to attend the University of Lagos obtaining a degree in microbiology. He was later awarded a scholarship to the University of Reading in Berkshire, England where he read for his doctorate degree in molecular genetics. Upon returning to Nigeria, Olukoya was employed as a geneticist at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research and published more than 70 scientific papers. He founded the Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation and was later awarded an honorary doctorate degree during the University of Lagos’ 50th convocation ceremony. In 1989, he established the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and is known as its general overseer.
Local pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Church Abiodun Emmanuel said, “This will be a great deliverance crusade. The crusade is for the entire public. I am excited.
