Two men were yesterday each committed to stand trial on separate charges of engaging in sexual activity with children.
Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus committed Sean Bacchus to face a trial at the High Court for the rape of a six-year-old.
The announcement was made at the conclusion of the preliminary inquiry into the charge. The charge alleges that on July 27th, 2018, Bacchus engaged in sexual activity with the child.
Meanwhile, charged three months ago with engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old in Sophia on August 18th, 2018, Aduke Josiah was also committed to stand trial yesterday by Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus. The magistrate committed Josiah to stand trial at the conclusion of the Preliminary Inquiry into the charge against him.
Josiah, who was granted $300,000 bail during his trial, will remain out on bail until that time.
