Kwakwani, President’s College and St. Stanislaus College recorded wins in the Boys U14 Division, when the National Schools Basketball Festival [NSBF] continued on Wednesday.
Staged at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, Kwakwani brushed aside St. Rose’s 45-26. Travis Lewis led the rout with 15 points, while Kelon Phillips added 12 points and Gevon Ross bagged a double-double of 10 points and 18 rebounds.
For the loser, Carmelo Man-Son-Hing battled to 12 points. Similarly, President’s College humbled the Bishops’ High 30-20. Judah Ferreira top scored with 10 points, while Ezequiel Saul and Kamol Mentore scored six points each.
For the loser, Joryn Payne tallied 10 points, with Lamar Austin the next best contributor with six points and five rebounds.
Also, St. Stanislaus crushed YBG Clusters 39-18. Daniel Bailey top scored in the lopsided contest with figures of 24 points and eight rebounds. Jaban Lovell added six points.
For the loser, Jadon Mohan netted in eight points while Amare Stewart scored three points.
In the Girls Division, Marian Academy downed Queen’s College 20-11. Kelliann Sauers led Queens College with 10 points and four rebounds. For Queens College, Naomi Barkoye recorded seven points and 10 rebounds.
Also, Kwakwani dismissed St. Stanislaus 28-8. Shania Sears recorded 18 points in the victory. For St. Stanislaus, Sharay Barker scored four points.
