A Guyanese contingent departed Guyana yesterday to participate in the 2019 JITIC U14 lawn tennis tournament which will serve off today in the Twin-Island Republic.
The tournament which ends July 11, will feature four of Guyana’s top junior tennis players in Vadeanand Resaul, Devine Kalekyezi, Sekai Jones, and Saskia Persaud who are all products of the Sheltez Tennis Club. The contingent will be coached by Leyland Leacock.
The Guyana Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA) in release expressed its gratitude to a section of corporate Guyana, which threw their support behind the quartet through sponsorship, to make the venture possible.
“GLTA continues to be extremely grateful for the support of sponsors who assists in our efforts to create opportunities for young children through this great sport of tennis.
