Just two months after a special lance corporal was alleged to have been fatally beaten by a colleague, the file in relation to the matter has been forwarded to the Police Complaints Authority (PCA).
Special Lance Corporal, Carlos Alleyne succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) after he was allegedly beaten by one of his colleagues while stationed at the Special Constabulary Headquarters on Princes Street.

Acting Crime Chief Senior Superintendent Michael Kingston confirmed that the file was forwarded and that the PCA will be conducting their investigation into the matter. Kingston said that anytime officers are involved in such matters the PCA has to investigate.
The file was previously sent back to the police from the Director of Public Prosecutions for some issues to be clarified. It was subsequently sent to the Commissioner of Police to be reviewed.
According to previous reports the 25-year-old succumbed to injuries on May 4 at the GPHC, with family members finding out about his death only days later.

The family members related that they were told that Alleyne was beaten then locked in a room by himself, but was later released after he begged to seek medical attention.
Family members had related that they were also informed that the Special Lance Corporal was not accompanied by any of his colleagues to the hospital.
