Somalia hotel attacks leaves at least 26 dead

MOGADISHU/GAROWE, Somalia,  (Reuters) – Islamist gunmen killed 26 people, including Kenyans, Americans, a Briton and Tanzanians, when they stormed a hotel in Somalia’s southern port city of Kismayo, a regional state president said on Saturday, the deadliest day in the city since insurgents were driven out in 2012.

CCJ dubs gov’t ‘caretaker’ but elections date a no-go

The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) has declined to fix timelines for general elections, which it says should be held in accordance with the Constitution following the December 21st, 2018 passage of a motion of no-confidence against the APNU+AFC government and it has further established that a “caretaker” administration now exists.

Nurses set up support group at GPHC to help pregnant teens

The CCJ has spoken

In its consequential orders yesterday, the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) set out pithily that the Granger administration fell from office on December 21, 2018 and must now only function as a caretaker government for the purposes of holding general elections in three months from June 18 unless there is an enlargement of that period with the concurrence of the opposition.
