George Robin, the senior who was recently convicted for the rape of girl, has appealed, saying his trial was unfair and his subsequent sentence was severe.
The Guyana Court of Appeal will now set a date on which Robin’s appeal will be heard.
On June 26th, Robin, 66, a father of 12, was sentenced to 19 years behind bars for the rape of a 16-year-old girl after being unanimously convicted by a jury of sexually penetrating the teen on February 6th, 2017.
