A Rose Hall Town carpenter was yesterday afternoon admitted to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital after he reportedly came into contact with an electrical wire and sustained a minor burn injury.
Fazeer Hassan, 30, of Lot 5 D Persaud Street, Rose Hall Town, was rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital after which he was transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital.
According to one of the workers, they were at the time placing steel rods on a building when the rods came into contact with the main electrical wire “and it touch he and he fall down”.
The building the man was working on is located in Rose Hall Town, Corentyne.
Stabroek News was told that the man sustained a minor burn injury on his arm.
According to relatives, the man was going in and out of consciousness yesterday afternoon.
