The Lady Jaguars will face-off with St Lucia in a top of the table clash in the CONCACAF Women’s U20 Championship at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora at 18:00hrs today.
The matchup will essentially decide the winner of Group A, as both teams currently sport undefeated records.
The unbeaten Guyanese outfit sit on six points following 2-0 wins over Bermuda and Antigua and Barbuda respectively. In total, Guyana has recorded four goals while conceding none.
On the other hand, St Lucia have recorded wins against Suriname, Bermuda and Antigua and Barbuda.
The St Lucians edged Suriname 4-3 before defeating Bermuda 2-1. In their most recent fixture, St Lucia downed Antigua and Barbuda 3-1.
The aforementioned results effectively sealed their place in the final round.
This translates to nine goals by the attacking line, with five goals conceded by the rearguard.
Guyana will end their campaign against Suriname on Sunday at 16:00hrs at the same venue.
The top two teams from the group will advance to the second round of the event.
