Five persons are still being questioned by the police in connection with the murder of Terry Ault, a South Sophia man who was shot in the neck on Sunday morning during a confrontation at a pool party.
Commander of ‘A’ Division Marlon Chapman yesterday said investigations are continuing and the persons who were arrested following the shooting remained in police custody. Chapman also stated that investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting.
Ault, 28, a gold miner of Lot 63, Block A, South Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), where he was taken after being shot.
Ault’s sister, Debbie (only name given), said based on the information given to her family so far, her brother was reportedly attacked by a man after he was seen talking to the man’s girlfriend. She added that the man approached her brother from behind and there was a confrontation, during which Ault was shot.
