Investigations ongoing in ‘Whistle’ shooting

As investigations into the murder of Leon Duncan continue, police are on the hunt for several persons of interest according to Commander of ‘A’ Division, Marlon Chapman.

He told Stabroek News that investigators are currently working on some information that will hopefully lead to the arrest of persons.

Former murder accused Leon Duncan, also known as ‘Whistle’, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Sunday last in Festival City.

The attack left three persons, including Leon Duncan’s brother, Shaquille Duncan, called ‘Lil Shaq’, 25, of 2692 Manatee Place, South Ruimveldt, nursing gunshot injuries. Police said Shaquille sustained injuries to his right arm and left thigh. The two other injured persons are: Lawrence Simon, 34, called ‘Plait Hair’, a construction worker of 2104 Nutmeg Street, Festival City, who was shot in the left knee; and Orandy Gordon, 28, of 1195 Nutmeg Street, Festival City, who was shot in the left arm and right knee.
