The Ministry of Public Infrastructure (MPI) is advising the general public that on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 6 am to 6 pm a section of the Northern and Southern Lanes of the Rupert Craig highway will be partially closed.
MPI said that the purpose of this partial closure is to facilitate electrical works to upgrade the traffic signal at Rupert Craig Highway & Ogle Access Road. As a result, traffic detours will be in effect in this area. Traffic proceeding Westbound (heading to Georgetown) will be directed to the Northmost Lane while the Eastbound traffic (heading to Berbice) will directed to the Southmost Lane.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution and observe all safety and directional signs, particularly in the vicinity of the works.
