Guyana will commence their CONCACAF u15 Championship campaign today against Nicaragua from 9:00am at the IMG Academy, Florida, USA.
The squad reads Goalkeeper Dwayne Bess, Shavid Hernandez, Defenders Zakeel Flatts, Kevin Mullins, Tyquan Brummell, Tyrice Lewis, Midfielders Samuel Garnett, Oswin Archer, Romel Medas, Brandon Solomon, Daniel Lowe, Devon Padmore, Rajan Ramdehol, Joshua Kesney, Antwone Vasconcellos, Sealon Sue and Forwards Shoran James, Marcus Tudor, Colin Henriques and Ofancy Winter.
On the Management side, Bryan Joseph will serve as the Head-Coach, while Devnon Winter and Travis Bess will act as Assistant and Goalkeeping Coaches respectively.
Similarly, Pablinho Cupido and Wilson Toledo will serve as the Physiotherapist and Physical Trainer respectively, with Sasha Gouveia serving as the Manager. The team is scheduled to depart on August 3rd.
The Guyanese will oppose The Bahamas on August 7th at 11:00am in their second group matchup. Their final group match will occur on August 8th from 9:00am against the Cayman Islands.
The 42-team tournament which features guest entrants Portugal, Slovenia and Israel, is divided into three divisions based on the confederation’s u17 2019 ranking.
Portugal and Slovenia will feature in Division-1 alongside the best 14 teams in the event. They will be divided into four groups of four (Group A-D).
The top two from each group will progress to the quarterfinal round to contest for the overall title.
Guyana will feature in Division-2 (Group E-H) which comprises 16 teams inclusive of Israel. The top two from each pool advances to the quarterfinal to contest for the Divisional title.
Meanwhile, Division-3 contains the lowest ranked 10 teams (group I-J). The winners of both group will contest the divisional championship match.
