Guyana’s table tennis whiz Chelsea Edghill was yesterday edged out of the ongoing Pan American Games in Lima, Peru in the round of 16 knockout stage.
The Guyanese went up against experienced foe in Colombian, Paula Medina. Medina took the first set 11-8 and narrowly captured the second 13-11.
Nonetheless, Edghill, who is one of Guyana’s brightest prospects, continued to display her combative pedigree against the Colombian but lost the final two sets by the slimmest of margins 9-11, -11-13 to surrender the knockout contest.
