Terminators defeated Gladiators while Moco-Moco and Tabatinga battled to a draw when the Theresa and George Bobb/RFA Under-17 female football tournament kicked off on Saturday.
Staged at the St. Ignatius Sports Ground, Terminators defeated Gladiators 3-0. Conessa Francis opened the scoring in the sixth minute. The lead was then doubled in the 28th minute when Celine George scored.
The final conversion came in the 42nd minute when Francis sealed her double. Meanwhile, Moco-Moco and Tabatinga battled to a 1-1 result.
Naomi Scipio handed Moco-Moco the early lead, as she found the back of the net in the fifth minute. However, Sheneka Atkinson equalised in the 28th minute. The third match was rescheduled because of the inclement weather.
The tournament continues today at the same venue with another round of matches.
