An Independence Boulevard youth was granted bail on Monday after he denied a charge of robbing a man of almost $300,000 worth of cash and items.
Shawn Bobb, 24, of Lot 56 Independence Boulevard, Georgetown, appeared before city magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
The charge against him states that on July 18th, at High Street, Georgetown, he robbed Nick Smith of a cellphone, valued $40,000, a Samsung Galaxy S8, valued $200,000, a black bag containing cosmetics valued $6,000, and $30,000 cash.
Bobb pleaded not guilty to the charge and he was then asked to post $80,000 bail for his release. The matter was adjourned until September 23rd.
