Priyanna Ramdhani, the national female Under-19 has guaranteed Guyana it’s lone medal at the 2019 CAREBACO international senior tournament in Barbados after qualifying for the women’s doubles semifinal.
The junior CAREBACO triple gold medallist, partnered with Barbados’ Sabrina Scott to defeat Jamaica’s Alana Bailey and Katherine Wynter 21-16, 22-20 in the quarter final. They will face Barbados’ Monyata Riviera and Tamisha Williams in the semis.
Earlier, Priyanna and her brother, Narayan Ramdhani, lost to the number-one seed Howard Shu and Paula Lynn Obanana of the United States 21-13, 21-16 in the quarter final.
