Newly appointed Golden Jaguars interim Head-Coach, Márcio Máximo, will conduct a capacity building forum with the coaches of the Elite League clubs which will serve as preparation for the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League.
“This initiative is geared towards building capacity of the local coaches where they will have an opportunity to observe the sessions and ask questions as necessary,” a release from the GFF stated.
The forum is set to commence tomorrow. Coaches from Den Amstel, the Guyana Police Force and Victoria Kings will attend the opening day and the August 29th sessions.
Similarly, Buxton United, Fruta Conquerors and Ann’s Grove will feature on August 27th and August 30th while Santos and Milerock will attend the August 28th and August 31 sessions.
Western Tigers and the Guyana Defence Force [GDF] will attend as soon as their head-coaching vacancy is filled.
Brazilian Máximo was appointed as the Interim Head-Coach for the 2019-2020 CONCACAF Nations League effective of August 21st, after incumbent Michael Johnson officially tendered his resignation from the post effective of August 13th. According to the release, Maximo possesses over 30 years of knowledge at the national and club levels and is the holder of a CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation) Pro License.
At the end of the Nations League campaign, a performance evaluation will be conducted.
