The eagerly anticipated and inaugural 592 ‘Street Kings’ Streetball Tournament have officially confirmed the 16 teams that will participate in the event.
The competing teams are Avocado Ballers, Sophia, Ansa McAl All-Stars, North East La Penitence, Back Circle, Albouystown-B, Tiger Bay, Leopold Street, John Street, Melanie-B, Broad Street, Alexander Village, Future Stars, LA Ballers, Gold is Money and Sparta Boss.
The three day elimination tournament will be played for over $675,000 in prizes. The playing dates are September 7th, 14th and 21st.
Winner of the event will collect $300,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up will pocket $150,000.
On the other hand, the third place finisher will grab $100,000 while fourth place side will receive $75,000.
The winner of the ‘Plate’ section will collect $50,000. The opening night will occur at the Berlin Tarmac with eight matches. On the second evening which is slated for the Burnham Court tarmac on Middle and Carmichael Streets, the quarterfinal round will occur.
The final night will witness the semifinal round and the eventual finale. The venue for the final will be announced shortly. Meanwhile the losing four quarterfinal teams will be eligible for the ‘592 Shield’ section. The official tournament fixtures will be released shortly.
