A member of the Guyana Police Force was released on bail after he pleaded not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man.
Detective Lance Corporal, Colwin Major, 32, of La Bonne Intention on the East Coast Roadway, stood in the courtroom of Senior Magistrate Leron Daly yesterday and was read a charge that on May 4th at Le Repentir, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Warren Duke.
The detective pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Major was represented by attorney-at-law, Adrian Thompson, who in his application for bail informed the court that his client is a serving member of the Police Force.
