Cattle farmer jailed over unlicensed gun, ammo

A cattle farmer was yesterday sentenced to two years behind bars after admitting to possession of an unlicensed firearm and matching rounds that were found on him during a police search.

Sentenced for the crime was Shemroy Nedd, 37, of Lot 28 Ann’s Grove Village.

The first charge read to Nedd stated that on August 28th, at Cornhill Street, he had a .38 revolver in his possession without being a licensed firearm holder. It was also alleged that on the very date, he had two matching round of .38-calibre ammunition.
