Suspect in fish and chips murder case to surrender to police

Rivaldo Williams

The suspect in the murder of 18-year-old Rivaldo Williams is expected to surrender to the police today for questioning, with his attorney, Bernard Da Silva.

Da Silva told Stabroek News that he was preparing to take his client to meet with investigators yesterday but they were not able to do so. As a result, he will be escorting his client to the police during the course of today.

Williams, called ‘Romeo’ and ‘Dutty,’ a mason of Lot 37 Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was fatally stabbed around 11.30 pm last Sunday after he and his family stopped to buy fish and chips along the Diamond Access Road, East Bank Demerara.
