Timehri Panthers-A, Grove Hi-Tech and Friendship won their matches when the East Bank Demerara leg of the NAMILCO U17 Football League continued yesterday at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Timehri Panthers-A defeated Timehri Panthers-B 8-1. Neron Barrow bagged a brace in the 46th and 52nd minute, while Qc Charles, Shannon Samnauth, Tyrone Williams, Shaquan Caleb and Tyrell Khan scored in the 23rd, 42nd, 49th, 60th and 66th minute respectively.
Adding to the score in the 52nd minute was an Own Goal. For the losers, Joel Williams netted in the 11th minute. Similarly, Grove Hi-Tech whipopedismantled Samatta Point/Kaneville 7-0.
Samuel Garnett tallied a double 37th and 47th, while Jamal Thom, Kurwin Lyte, Jonas Isaacs, Rasheed Evans and Tyrese Jones scored in the 16th, 20th, 23rd, 46th and 57th minute each.
Meanwhile, Friendship edged Diamond United 2-1. Kobe Robertson amassed a double in the 16th and 22nd minute. For the loser, Rick Ramotar found the back of the net in the 51st minute.
In other results, Timehri Panthers-A, Timehri Panthers-B and Mocha defeated Herstelling, Soesdyke and Mocha via respective walkovers. The event is slated to continue today at the same venue with another round of matches.
