Five males have been arrested over an alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old girl which reportedly occurred sometime Saturday evening at a location on the West Coast Berbice.
Stabroek News was told that the matter was reported on Monday which led to the arrest of the five males.
According to a police source, a file was prepared and sent for advice. The file was returned yesterday with a recommendation that an identification parade be conducted. This is expected to be done today.
The attack was reportedly committed in an abandoned house.
The suspects are said to be in their twenties.
