The Ministry of Public Infrastructure has added more roads within Georgetown to its list of those that will be rehabilitated, the Department of Public Information (DPI) reported yesterday.
The report said additional roads were identified during a community engagement held at St. Sidwell’s Primary School on Friday evening, where residents representing a cross-section of Georgetown’s neighbourhoods attended.
During the meeting, the report said, the Public Infrastructure Minister David Patterson pledged to ensure the city’s roads are enhanced. It listed streets to be rehabilitated, in addition to the other streets that are currently transformed: Kaikan Street; ‘Bread Man’ Street; High Palm Road; Trench Road; James Street; Nutmeg Street; Delph Street; El Dorado Avenue; Mazaruni Street; Berbice Street; Demerara Street; and Kamarang Avenue .
