The Guyana Amazon Warriors will look to further assert themselves atop the points standings  as they hunt their sixth consecutive win in this year’s installment of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) when they take on the Barbados Tridents at Kensington Oval from 18:00hrs today.

Warriors are leading the pack with 10 points from five outings while Tridents, who are enduring a torrid run, are sitting in fourth place – six points adrift from Shoaib Malik’s men.

Tridents though, are heading into the match high in confidence after securing a commanding 71 run win over St Lucia Zouks on Friday evening. The win came on the back of an exciting knock from debutant Justin Greaves who cracked 57 while Jonathan Carter (30) who contributed with the bat, was exceptional in the field.
