Former Chairman of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Board, Hugh Denbow succumbed at a city hospital last evening, hours after his bound body was discovered at his North Sophia home following a suspected home invasion.
Stabroek News was told that Denbow was found lying in an unconscious state with his hands, feet and neck tied together in the kitchen area of his Lot 1 Area D North Sophia home which he occupied alone.
Reports are that the discovery was made after calls to his phone went unanswered since Saturday.
At the time, the house was ransacked and there was no sign of forced entry.
Denbow was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed around 8 pm yesterday while receiving medical attention.
A police investigation is said to be ongoing.
