IAAF World C/ships kicks off tomorrow

The IAAF World Athletics Championships gets underway tomorrow and Guyana’s medal hopes are pinned on the trio of Aliyah Abrams, Emanuel Archibald and Quamel Prince.

The Championships will be staged in Doha, Qatar until October 6.

According to President of the Association, Aubrey Hutson, the USA based, Abrams will contest the 400m, national long jump record holder, Emanuel Archibald will battle it out in the sand and USA born 800m runner of Guyanese descent, Prince will match strides with the world best in the two-lap event during  the 10-day Championships to be staged in the Qatari capital.
