Jamaican politician reprimanded after found with ammo en route to Guyana

Jamaican businessman and PNP activist, Alston Stewart, has been reprimanded and discharged by a court in Trinidad after at least two bullets were found in his luggage when he visited the twin island republic on Thursday, according to nationwideradiojm.com.

He had been en route to Guyana. Stewart has been an adviser to the Alliance For Change.

According to nationwideradiojm.com, Stewart re-appeared in a Trinidad court on Monday. He was reprimanded after a submission by his lawyer, who also pleaded for leniency. His passport was returned to him and the report said that it is  understood that the infringement will not reflect on his record.
