Renika Anand of Marian Academy on Saturday placed first in the GBTI/BrainCentral Math and English Online Olympiad Champ.
A release from the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) said that Anand was among the top 10 selected after the preliminary round on Thursday. The other students mainly from Marian Academy and School of the Nations were Peter Abai, Nekacia Clementson, Azalia Fontenelle, Nathan Jackson, Sangeeta Lilman, Dougal Mc Turk, and Xiao Hui (Julie) Yang.
Lilman and Mc Turk tied for the second spot while Jackson and Yang followed closely.
