Nine members of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) female team who recently participated in the Guyana Defence Force’s (GDF) 3rd Quarterly Fitness Assessment of 2019 were promoted on the spot yesterday by Commissioner of Police Leslie James.
Stabroek News understands that the ranks received their promotions following a meeting with James and his administrative team which was held yesterday in the Commissioner’s Conference Room, Eve Leary.
During the meeting, James congratulated the ranks and urged them to continue their reign of success.
Those promoted are to Lance Corporal: Constable 23140 Tanisha Isaacs and Constable 21509 Teniesha Punch; to Sergeant: Corporal 21357 Kiticia Pellew, Corporal 23949 Alita Moore and Corporal 21438 Eva Harry; to Corporal: Lance Corporal 24095 Lucianna Bernard and Lance Corporal 22505 Tiffany Carto and to Sergeant: Corporal 22509 Saphina Vanderstoop and Corporal 20593 Dellie Williams.
The promoted ranks were part of a team which consisted of 19 males and four female teams drawn from the GPF and GDF.
During the competition they participated in various activities such as swimming, running, grenade throwing, falling plate, target shooting and first aid.
