Following the staging of its twelfth edition, the best skits from the “Nothing to Laugh About” production will now be staged in Uitvlugt and it is expected that the same star-studded cast will be on display.
After years of people on the west side asking for the show, it is finally set to happen this evening at the Uitvlugt Estate Ground. The show will feature performances from renowned local actors such as Lyndon “Jumbie” Jones, Mark “Chinee Man” Kazim, Michael “Credit” Ignatius, Kirwyn Mars, Clemencio Goddette, Leza “Radica” Singh, Simone Persaud, Zoya Moore, Gerard Gilkes, Mark-Luke Edwards and Jermaine Grimmond.
According to producers, the show will comprise satirical slapstick skits and stand-up comedy by some of the most seasoned actors in Guyana. “Nothing to Laugh About” is dubbed “one of the best in theatrical presentations and has only gotten better in the past years,” according to the producers.
Patrons can also party with the cast at the after party which will be at XS Bar and Lounge in Cornelia Ida.
Patrons are advised to get their tickets early because of the overwhelming demand for this show. Tickets for the show are: $500 (Children), $1,500 (Regular) and $3,000 (VIP). Tickets for the party are: $1,000 (with NTLA ticket) $1,500 (before) $2,000 (at the gate).
