Former junior national table tennis player Mike Clarke has organised and will roll out an individual two-day table tennis tournament from today at the National Gymnasium.
The tournament, which is open to all, is expected to see players competing in the 11 years and under, 15 years and under, and 18 years and under categories while the seniors will go up against each other in the B and C class open.
Veterans are also expected to compete against each other in the 50 and 65 years and over categories.
Clarke, who resides in the United States and is currently an ITTF level coach, indicated to Stabroek Sports that the event was organised to aid in the advancement of the sport at the middle and high school levels.
