(Trinidad Guardian) Pastor Dave Neaves appeared in court yesterday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
Neaves, 46, of the Grace Worship Centre in Rio Claro, was granted bail but on the condition that he has no contact with the girl.
The Princes Town pastor was not asked to enter a plead when he appeared in the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court.
It is alleged that on July 11 he committed an act of sexual penetration on the girl at a house.
He was charged by WPC Luke.
Court prosecutor Sgt Shazeed Mohammed did not object to bail but asked the magistrate to impose conditions.
In asking for bail, his attorney Ashley Badal said he was a first time offender, married and has children.
Senior Magistrate Rae Roopchand granted him $75,000 approval bail with a cash bail alternative of $10,000.
The matter was adjourned to November 18.
