Ahead of the upcoming Guyana Open, the country’s best golfers took to the Lusignan Golf Course last weekend where Patanjalee `Pur’ Persaud won the Citizen’s Bank Cancer Awareness title Saturday while Guillermo Escarraga dominated the field Sunday in the Banks DIH Classic.
Persaud won the overall net title with a tournament low of 64 in the ‘B’ Flight 10-18 handicap.
He was trailed by a three-man tie for second place among Aasrodeen Shaw (70/13), William Walker (70/11) and Satrohan Tiwari (70/16) who edged out Shaw and Walker in the tie-break.
