Gold is Money, North East La Penitence, Tiger Bay, Beterverwagting (BV) and Future Stars secured contrasting wins when GT Beer ‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal Championship continued on Tuesday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
Gold is Money crushed Spot-7 by a 4-0 score. Keifer Brandt bagged a double in the 12th and 15th minute while Randolph Wagner and Solomon Austin added goals in the fifth and 10th minute each.
Likewise, North East La Penitence brushed aside Bad-A-Yard 4-0. Calvin Moore tallied a double in the first and fourth minute.
He was assisted by sibling Kelvin Moore and Kyle Moffatt who scored in the sixth and 13th minute respectively. Also Future Stars defeated Stabroek Ballers 4-2.
Daniel Ross scored two goals in the eighth and 14th minute while Jamal Cozier and Keron Solomon netted in the fourth and sixth minute apiece.
For Stabroek Ballers, Mark Jhalu and Henry Sampson etched their names on the scorer’s sheet in the 15th and 17th minute respectively.
In another fixture, Tiger Bay edged Avocado Ballers 1-0. Orin Moore found the back of the net in the 10th minute while BV needled Albouystown 1-0 compliments of a Jamar Harrigon conversion in the 19th minute.
In other results, Melanie-B defeated Leopold Street 4-3, whilst Sophia-A bested Sophia-B 3-1 and Charlotte Street overcame Ol Skool Ballers 2-1. Also Back Circle defeated Upsetters via walkover.
Winner of the event will pocket $550,000, with the second, third and fourth placed sides collecting $250,000, $125,000 and $75,000 respectively.
